The first-ever FerrellGas Dream Factory Classic last week in Kansas City was a huge success, raising funds to support an organization dedicated to making dreams happen for critically and chronically ill children. The tournament drew 116 golfers from a dozen states and Canada – and raised $70,000 for the Dream Factory of Greater Kansas City.

“The donation that resulted from this tremendous event will go directly toward the dreams of a number of deserving children here in greater Kansas City,” said Dream Factory President Ralph Apel. “I cannot thank our good friends at Ferrellgas and the many other sponsors they assembled enough.”

FerrellGas is one of the biggest propane retailers in the United States, and is acquiring a strong reputation for community-mindedness and philanthropy. A list of the many other sponsoring companies who made the event possible is available here.

“Ferrellgas has gotten to know the Dream Factory of Greater Kansas City well in recent years. I can’t think of a better organization or a better cause,” said George Koloroutis, Senior Vice President of FerrellGas. “We’re in the process of setting even more aggressive goals for this event and look forward to hosting it for many years to come.”
