Another Propane Truck Turns Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

The Ciardelli Fuel Company was formed in 1957 when Earnest “Babe” Ciardelli teamed up with his nephew Albert Eugene “Chick” Ciardelli to purchase a small local oil company. Business quickly picked up as people heard their sweet slogan: “Chick and Babe, We’re the Birds to Call!” (image: cabinet.com)

The huge tanks on bobtail propane delivery trucks are usually plain black or white, embossed with the company’s logo. But more and more companies nationwide are using that space to send a message and confirm a campaign. The Ciardelli Fuel Company in New Hampshire is the latest to partner with the American Breast Cancer Foundation and its Propane for Life program, and has repainted one of its delivery trucks pink for the occasion, the Nashua Telegraph reported.

Based in Milford, NH, Ciardelli Fuel Company has been family-owned and operated for 53 years. They offer heating oil, propane and HVAC services to over 16 surrounding towns. Besides raising awareness and encouraging early detection through screenings, Ciardelli Fuel will donate one cent from every gallon delivered by the pink truck to the Foundation.

“We are excited about being involved in ‘The Propane for Life’ campaign here in our community. The national program has really grown here in New England over the past few years as more and more people hear about the benefits that it can provide to breast cancer victims,” said Mark Ciardelli. “Ciardelli Fuel Co. is proud to support the American Breast Cancer Foundation and we hope to make a difference in the lives of breast cancer victims.”
