The propane industry’s annual Washington rally kicks off next week. Propane Days is a chance for industry members to meet legislators and try to influence the shape of federal energy policies as they relate to the propane industry. It’s also a chance for propane professionals to come together, catch up on latest industry developments and network.

The event runs from June 13-15 at the rally’s headquarters hotel, the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill. It begins with a Welcome Reception on Monday, followed by legislative briefings on Tuesday with remarks from high profile political leaders. The day will culminate with a joint House and Senate reception. On Wednesday participants have a full day to arrange meetings with Congressional Representatives and staff to press them on important issues and describe why propane should play a major role in America’s energy future.

“We have an outstanding opportunity to meet with new legislators and educate them about the issues confronting the propane industry,” the National Propane Gas Association’s website says. “Propane Days is the best program our industry has to bring your story to the nation’s capital. By attending this event, you will be giving our industry the strongest possible voice as we seek to convince Congress to support out policy objectives.”

The NPGA’s 2011 Annual Meeting and Mid-Year Board of Directors Meeting will take place on Monday at the Hyatt Regency. The Hyatt is already fully booked for the event but several other Washington DC hotels still have space. So don’t miss out – book your spot today!
