AmeriGas, the country’s largest propane retailer, has announced some changes to its leadership, the Philadelphia Business Journal reported last week.

The company’s board named Jerry E. Sheridan vice president and chief operating officer. He was previously chief financial officer.

In turn, John S. Iannarelli was picked to be Sheridan’s replacement as vice president and CFO.

And Steven A. Samuel was named vice president and general counsel, filling the vacancy left by a retiring company member.

And in other AmeriGas news, investors will be pleased to read the company has raised its annual distribution by five percent — from $2.82 per unit up to $2.96.

Based in Valley Forge, Pa., AmeriGas is the largest propane dealer in the country when ranked by number of gallons it retailed last year. The company operates about 1,200 outlets, with locations in all 50 states.
